Sustainability Framework Advisory Committee elects chair and vice chair

The Sustainability Framework Advisory Committee elected Ed as chair and Brand Richter as vice chair during its Jan. 24, 2025 meeting.

Committee members nominated and seconded both candidates during the meeting’s opening minutes. Members voted “aye” on both nominations; the meeting record shows no recorded opposition. After the vote, Ed acknowledged the committee and members congratulated Richter on his election as vice chair.

The nominations and votes were procedural and immediate: a member nominated Ed for chair, another member seconded the nomination, and the committee approved the motion. Similarly, Dr. Bridal nominated Brand Richter for vice chair, the nomination was seconded and approved.

No substantive policy discussion accompanied the leadership votes; the committee moved on to housekeeping and agenda items following the confirmations.

The newly elected chair and vice chair will preside over the committee’s 2025 calendar and agenda-setting processes. Staff confirmed routine duties and follow-up items would proceed under the new leadership.
