Corey said draft leagues provide opportunities for children who do not have established teams while select teams register together and typically enter tournaments.
Staff also previewed spring offerings and special events: spring break camps, a special‑needs Easter egg hunt on April 5 (held at Yellowjacket because of accessibility), a Spring Extravaganza on April 12, concerts by the lake and Founders Day with country artist Josh Turner as headliner. Staff said additional Founders Day acts are not yet announced.
Corey said staff are exploring adding a third time slot for the father‑daughter dance to accommodate demand and that the department is working to minimize wait lists. The department posts program details and registration links on its Facebook page and the city website.
Board members did not take formal action on program updates; staff asked the board to note the program schedules and attend community events where possible.
