Bullhead City Council on Feb. 4 adopted the biannual impact-fee audit covering fiscal years 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24, a public-hearing item required by state law.
City staff explained the audit relates to the small water impact fee charged on new building permits (about $400 per single-family unit) that is used to recover the cost of water capacity purchased for growth. Staff told council the impact-fee audit concluded the city's impact-fee accounting is consistent with state law and noted Bullhead City's impact fees are among the lowest in Arizona.
No public speakers commented on the item and the council approved the audit adoption unanimously (7-0).
