Albemarle County ARB holds annual meeting; elects Chris Hinkson chair and Frank Hancock vice chair, adopts 2025 schedule and rules

At its Jan. 21 annual meeting the Albemarle County Architectural Review Board elected Chris Hinkson as chair, Frank Hancock as vice chair, adopted the 2025 ARB submittal and meeting schedule and approved the ARB rules of procedure.
The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board opened its annual meeting on Jan. 21 with officer elections and adoption of the 2025 submittal and meeting schedule and rules of procedure.
Nominations were opened for chair and members nominated Chris Hinkson. The board voted to elect Chris Hinkson chair (ayes recorded for Mr. Vanderwerf, Mr. Stoner, Mr. Hancock and Mr. Henningsen). For vice chair the board nominated Frank Hancock and voted to elect Hancock (ayes recorded for the same members). The board then moved, seconded and approved the 2025 ARB submittal and meeting schedule and subsequently voted to adopt the ARB rules of procedure; those motions passed on roll call.
The chair noted the meeting was hybrid and reminded participants of public access procedures, the 15‑minute limit for applicant presentations and that the meeting was a public record subject to disclosure under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. No public comments on non‑agenda projects were received.
