Historic Preservation Commission approves minutes, defers one application and clears one consent-item application

During routine business the Boise City Historic Preservation Commission approved the January 27, 2025 meeting minutes, voted to defer DRH24-00263 (718 West Ada Street) to the March 31 meeting, and approved DRH24-00349 (1410 North Thirteenth Street) as submitted with staff conditions.

Minutes: Commissioner Parks moved to approve the January 27, 2025 minutes; Commissioner Owens seconded. The roll call recorded ayes from Maroney, Parks, Owens, Sales and Moore, and recorded abstentions by Montoto and Malloy. The motion carried.

Deferral (DRH24-00263, 718 W. Ada Street): The commission received a request from the applicant to defer the certificate of appropriateness for a new single-family residence with detached garage and accessory dwelling unit to the March 31 meeting. Commissioner Parks moved to defer; Commissioner Owens seconded. The commission approved the deferral; the clerk recorded the motion as carried.

Consent/Approval (DRH24-00349, 1410 N. Thirteenth Street): Staff recommended approval for the certificate of appropriateness to alter a contributing façade and construct an addition, with conditions including retention of historic materials and a mitigation plan for tree removals. The applicant agreed to staff recommendations. The motion to approve passed by roll call; commissioners present voted in favor.
