Board hears update on Bates and Goodeth renovations; bids preliminarily under budget

Kikoski said preliminary results indicated the project would come in under budget, and the district expects to finalize an award recommendation package by Jan. 7 for board action on Jan. 14.
Board members asked about including alternates in the award package; Kikoski said there were about eight alternates at varying levels and that alternates would be evaluated once final numbers were available. He said the team was trying to complete contractor interviews before the holidays so the package could be assembled for early January.
