The Cole County Commission on Wednesday approved a Cole County interagency agreement (IAA) intended to protect federal ARPA funds for public works stormwater projects, and approved Budget Adjustment No. 13, a $50,000 addition to the EMS Enterprise Fund.
The commission voted to sign an IAA between the commission and the public works department that staff said would "take care of the obligation between the ARPA money and that particular department," ensuring funds that previously were interdepartmental remain obligated for stormwater projects rather than reverting. Staff said the agreement applies under a roughly $5 million ARPA allocation set aside for county projects and will let the county move a backup project — the Lakewood stormwater project — into 2025 for advertisement and contract award…
