- Item 11: Payment of bills, described in staff materials as "some $96,000 worth" (approved). The council record identifies this as approximately $96,000 in payments presented for approval.
- Item 12: Receive and file the monthly report for Kern County Fire Station No. 21 for December 2024 (approved).
- Item 13: Approval of Amendment No. 2 to the professional services contract with BHT Engineering, extending the contract for an additional three years (approved). The staff report included a CEQA determination that the action is not a project under CEQA (sections 15060(c)(3) and 15378).
- Item 14: Ratification of a rental agreement between UBEO Business Services and the Taft Police Department for two Canon imager copiers (DXC5840) at a monthly cost of $875 (approved). During the meeting a clerk clarified the monthly amount as $875 per month.
A motion and second were recorded for the consent calendar; a roll-call vote followed with Councilmember Kreier, Councilmember Waldrop, Councilmember Chavera and Mayor Noor voting yes. The motion carried 4-0. The council then adjourned the open session and moved into closed session for matters involving anticipated litigation and labor negotiations.
