Council president says NRCS has $5 million for flood-related home purchases; Cranston not running program

Marino noted possible future eligibility for other neighborhoods in Cranston, naming Fletcher Avenue and Riverview Apartments as possible areas depending on future federal funding decisions. He said the availability of funds and expansion of the program will depend on the next congressional and presidential terms.
Council members who attended the NRCS meeting described the program as a resource residents may use; committee members asked no formal action or city administration program changes during the meeting.
