At its Dec. 10 meeting the Town of Charlton Board of Selectmen approved the town’s 2025 license renewals in a single, en-masse vote.

Town staff reported that the building, fire and police departments completed inspections of liquor-license establishments and flagged no objections. The renewals were approved “as presented, pending all paperwork and fees received,” the board recorded.

The board also noted a request from an establishment identified as TreeHouse to extend its closing hour to 11 p.m. on regular nights and to remain open until 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. Meeting materials stated those requested hours are within the town’s allowable tapped hours; the board’s approval of the renewals was conditional on receipt of required paperwork and fees.

A selectman moved and the board voted unanimously to approve the bundle of renewals so the board would not need to act on each license individually. The meeting record does not list individual license holders by name in the minutes discussed at the meeting.

The vote cleared routine licensing ahead of the 2025 calendar year and placed documentation completion as a condition of final issuance.
