The Office of Student Services and Planning will produce enrollment projections in February; directors will meet to program options and an official survey will be released in subsequent months. Administrators expect to finalize staffing rosters by December and to issue assignments in January, aligning the timeline with the district's transfer window.
The superintendent said the district will conduct orientations for staff at new sites in March 2026 and notify families of assignments no later than May 2026; the new rezoned schedules and building assignments are expected to take effect in August 2026. Dr. Ross said the survey and sequencing aim to honor teacher preferences where feasible and to reduce anxiety during the transition.
Board members asked about workload and supports for teachers; Dr. Ross said the district will provide preference surveys, plan for singletons and electives, and coordinate special-education and intervention placements. He noted that principals will finalize staffing rosters after the district completes enrollment projections and uses survey results to program electives, athletics and arts.
