Ada County procurement opened four bids for Bid 25011, the domestic water repiping project in the CCU North section of the Ada County Jail, and the Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 23 to table award until Dec. 31 to allow staff to complete administrative compliance reviews.
Procurement staff read the bidders and total bid amounts (base bid plus a $20,000 owner's contingency): Cascade Enterprise Inc., $292,815; Lacing Mechanical Inc., $228,150; Page Mechanical Group Inc., $293,035; RM Mechanical, $242,588. Procurement requested time to review bids for administrative compliance before making an award recommendation.
The board moved and seconded a motion to table the award to the Dec. 31, 2024 open business meeting; the motion carried by voice vote. Procurement staff said the administrative review will determine compliance before presenting an award recommendation at the December 31 meeting.
The meeting record shows no public comment during the bid opening; procurement will return with recommended award and supporting documentation after the compliance review.
