The Town of Charlton Planning Board voted to continue the public hearing for GM Properties LLC’s The Villages multifamily application at 35 North Main Street until Dec. 4, 2024.

Board members said they had not reviewed all application materials and that missing information — including wetland and drainage clarifications referenced by staff — made a continuance appropriate. A motion to continue the hearing carried unanimously.

The continuance allows staff and the applicant additional time to respond to questions and provide documents that board members said are necessary for a substantive review. Town staff noted there had been prior coordination between the applicant’s consultants and town representatives on wetland issues but that the packet before the board remained incomplete.

The board did not take any additional action on the proposal at the Nov. 20 meeting. The hearing will resume on Dec. 4, 2024, at the Planning Board’s regular meeting unless the applicant withdraws or requests a different date.
