Richland County OSCO reports 238 certified SLBE firms, outreach continues

A representative from Richland County’s Office of Small Business (OSCO) told the committee that the county’s SLBE certification roster recently grew to 238 firms.
Per the report, prior totals were: 7 architectural and engineering firms, 63 construction firms, 85 nonprofessional services, 74 professional services and 6 wholesale firms (a total of 235). OSCO reported adding three firms to the nonprofessional services category since that report was run, bringing the total to 238 certified SLBE firms; OSCO said there are 10 pending new applications and 7 renewing SLBEs.
The OSCO representative said the department is finalizing its calendar of business workshops and events for 2025 and encouraged interested business owners to contact the office at 803-576-1540 or via email at osb0@richlandcountysc.gov for assistance with certification and program resources.
