The City of La Habra Planning Commission unanimously approved the consent calendar at its Feb. 10 meeting.
Commissioner Ramsland moved to approve the consent calendar, Commissioner Cardenas seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. The consent calendar included two items (identified on the meeting agenda as items 1 and 2); no speaker asked for removal of either item and staff provided no additional detail during the meeting.
After the vote, a city staff member announced that applications are being accepted for vacancies on the Planning Commission and the Community Services Commission. The staff member said there is one unscheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission with a term expiring March 31, 2027, and two seats on the Community Services Commission with three-year terms expiring March 31, 2028. Residents interested in appointment were told to contact the city clerk's office by telephone at (562) 383-4030 or to apply online at the city's website; the announcement gave an application deadline of "no later than 6 p.m. on Thursday, February" but did not specify the calendar date. The staff member said appointments were anticipated on Monday, March 3 and Monday, March 17, "as needed."
No public comments were received on the consent calendar and no items were removed for separate discussion. The commission adjourned following routine announcements and brief ceremonial remarks.
