The Glenn Heights City Council approved most items on its consent agenda and asked staff for additional financial detail on the city’s community center.
A motion to approve consent agenda items 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 was moved, seconded and carried 5-0 with votes recorded as aye from Councilmembers Moseley, Bruton, Lightfoot, Binford and Mayor Sonya A. Brown. The council then pulled consent agenda item 5 for separate consideration.
After discussion, the council voted to approve consent agenda item 5 with a friendly amendment requiring updated December financial reports without formatting errors and additional data on the community center’s fiscal-year membership and operating costs to be sent to council by the end of the month. The motion to approve item 5 with those conditions passed 5-0; the meeting record captures the amendment as a request that staff provide the December financials “without the hashtag marks” and community center numbers and membership data.
Councilmember Bruton raised a display issue with the financial presentation and requested clearer formatting so numbers are visible. The council asked Finance Director Sherry Roberts to provide the requested materials; Roberts agreed to supply the revised reports and said staff would email the materials to council.
Votes at a glance: the meeting record shows unanimous approval (5-0) for the motions approving the listed consent items and for the approval of item 5 with the amendment to provide updated financials.
