Harrison County supervisors approve fairgrounds repairs, letter of support and property sale

The board voted to accept a local purchase from Showtime Johnson LLC for reconstruction of two arenas at the Harrison County Fairgrounds for $74,000, to be paid from the county account specified in the meeting record. The fairgrounds director recommended the procurement and the board approved the purchase after a motion, second and an oral aye vote.
The board also approved a letter of support to the Mississippi Development Authority for establishment of the South Mississippi Defense and Military Affairs Council. The action was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Finally, supervisors authorized execution of a contract for sale and purchase of real property between Harrison County and the Biloxi Schools for property located on DeBose Road. The board approved the motion after standard procedure and a voice vote.
