Humboldt County board recessed to canvass election returns and read precinct totals

The board read totals for write-ins, undervotes and overvotes where applicable.
The canvass produced the tallies as recorded in the minutes. As recorded during the canvass, absentee totals and aggregated tallies included: presidential absentee totals — Donald Trump 1,424; Kamala Harris 631; other presidential write-ins and undervotes reported by staff. The canvass tally for Constitutional Amendment No. 1 (as read into the record) showed 1,458 yes and 336 no; for Constitutional Amendment No. 2 the canvass totals read 1,504 yes and 64 no. The auditor and clerks also read the county-level totals for retained judges and county offices into the record.
Board members and staff spent the meeting reading all precinct reports aloud; the transcript records the tabulation process and the precinct-by-precinct verbal checks. The board did not record additional discussion or challenge to the tabulation in the transcript excerpt; officials concluded the canvass reading.
