Connecticut Paid Leave reports rising claims and growing weekly payments

The Connecticut Paid Leave Board of Directors heard a claims administration update Feb. 13 showing program growth and higher weekly payouts.
John Scott, providing the claims administration update, said the three-month claims trend included 24,801 claims received, with a monthly moving average of 8,267. "January 2025 year over year claim volume was 6.81% higher than January of 2024, and January 2025 represents the second highest number of monthly claims filed at 9,029 claims filed," Scott said.
