Tamara Lee, Minnesota State Librarian and director of State Library Services and expanded learning at the Minnesota Department of Education, briefed the Senate Education Finance Committee on Feb. 20 about the agency’s responsibilities and programs.
Lee said State Library Services functions as the State Library Administrative Agency (SLAA) for Minnesota and has a staff of five within the Department of Education. “We don't have a physical state library in Minnesota, so we are a library development and services agency with a staff of 5,” Lee said.
