The St Clair County Schools Board reviewed the district’s 2025 pay-equity report, which staff said was submitted to the state as required on the triannual schedule.
A presenter said the report compares salary ranges across job classes to ensure pay equity between males and females, and that the district included two new job classifications: a business assistant and a paraprofessional position designated for Kate Thompson. The report covers data through Dec. 31, 2024, and staff said the state compares that report to the prior filing dated Dec. 31, 2021, through Minnesota Management and Budget.
The presenter said the district has been in compliance since the presenter began in the role and did not expect issues stemming from the recent classification changes. The board clarified that the district submits classifications and a state reviewer determines the final class assignments.
No formal board vote was required on the report; the item was informational and staff said they had emailed the report to board members in advance.
