Goose Creek CISD recognizes corporate donors including ExxonMobil, Port of Houston and Covestro

At Tuesday’s Goose Creek CISD board meeting the district recognized recent donations from local and corporate partners that will fund scholarships, programs and equipment across the district.
Officials thanked the Port of Houston Authority for a $7,500 donation to the Robert E. Lee High School maritime program. The district said the contribution will be used to provide student resources and industry tools tied to the maritime career and technical education program.
ExxonMobil was recognized for multiple contributions: a $5,000 donation to Gandineer (a student organization at Robert E. Lee High School) for scholarships and $15,000 to support the district’s robotics program. The district said ExxonMobil provides technical expertise and community project support for student work-based learning.
Covestro was acknowledged for a $10,000 donation to provide scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing STEM majors. District officials said the funds will be administered through the district’s Education Foundation and partnerships.
District leaders thanked company representatives who attended the meeting in person and affirmed that the donations are intended to support classroom instruction, student scholarships and extracurricular STEM programming.
