He told the committee the $166,000 request reflects contractor estimates and maintenance personnel costs and is part of a larger $250,000 first tranche of grant funding available to the authority.
Why it matters: The payments fund repairs and staffing the authority says are necessary to address outstanding violations identified during recent federal, state and city inspections and to make vacant units ready for occupancy.
