Council approves lot line adjustment for Quarry Sports Complex to consolidate Phase 1 parcel

The Post Falls City Council on Dec. 17 approved a lot line adjustment at the Quarry Sports Complex to consolidate two parcels and ensure Phase 1 construction will not be bisected by a lot line.
Robbie Quinn, parks planner for the city, told the council the site is about 26 acres currently composed of two lots; one lot would split the footprint of a proposed restroom/shelter building. The adjustment will move the lot line so all Phase 1 development sits within a single parcel.
Phase 1 described by staff includes two soccer fields, a parking lot, a plaza, a restroom building, a maintenance yard and two alternates: a playground and sports courts. Quinn said consolidating the parcel simplifies construction and provides flexibility for future phases or subdivision if needed.
A council member moved to approve the Quarry Sports Complex lot line adjustment; the motion was seconded and adopted by roll call. Ziegler, Westland, Davis and Stigleader voted Aye; Molloy was excused. The approval was described as a housekeeping step ahead of Phase 1 construction.
