Committee approves grants, course addition and contract extensions; USDA Farm to School grant awarded to student-led proposal

Ethan, a high-school senior and USDA Scales intern, participated in the presentation; members voted to approve the grant application unanimously.
Personnel and services: The committee approved an NEA-certified memorandum of agreement to fill a Grama position and accepted a telehealth master services agreement that will be provided free of charge by the vendor; the telehealth program requires parental consent to participate. Both items passed unanimously.
Contracts and procurement: The committee approved one-year extensions for MTG Disposal and S&S Landscaping for FY26 under existing three-year contracts that included two one-year optional extensions; both extension motions passed unanimously. Committee members discussed minor concerns about S&S Landscaping related to field equipment damage and work timing when students are present; the business office said these issues have been addressed and will be monitored.
Votes on these items were unanimous unless otherwise noted. The committee also moved forward with an MOA authorizing the district to prepare a Stage 1 capital application for elementary school projects to RIDE and approved work to coordinate campus bond projects with RIDE, and agreed to maintain current building committee membership.
