The Sandoval County Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 11 approved VAC-25-001, a request from JAG Planning and Zoning on behalf of the Southern Sandoval Arroyo Flood Control Authority (SCAFKA), to vacate utility easements, a 50-foot drainage easement and part of the public right-of-way along Eighth Street Southwest in the Rio Rancho Estates community district.
The approval follows staff findings that the vacations are necessary to allow SCAFKA to construct an enlarged drainage channel on the parcel identified as Tract 72A and to replat six existing lots into two new parcels.
