The Wilson County Board of Commissioners approved a set of fiscal, personnel and economic development items at its Jan. 6 meeting, including a three-year incentive for a local employer and the county—s fiscal and capital planning policies.
The board voted to approve minutes from the December 2024 meeting; to accept the November 2024 tax collection report; and to approve December 2024 refunds in excess of $100. The board adopted a resolution authorizing appropriations and expenditures for "Project Hard Hat," a proposed economic development incentive for Construct Inc. The board also approved the county—s Work First electing county plan for 2026—2028, adopted an overall fiscal policy and approved a capital improvement plan policy and prioritization process, all as presented to the board.
Commissioners approved a proposed calendar for the FY 2025—26 budget process, and approved a personnel resolution adding statutory language required by recent state legislation regarding prohibited material on county networks and devices.
