DeKalb Township Board of Trustees on Dec. 11 approved a set of routine fiscal measures including a budget amendment that shifts money between program lines, a $25,000 increase to the road-district levy, and a slightly reduced township levy for 2025.
Supervisor House proposed the budget amendment, which trustees approved, moving $5,000 (10% of one line item) from the landscape-and-maintenance account into signage-and-fencing to cover new signs and a recent fence extension at Oakwood Cemetery. The board also approved moving $63,100 from the townships emergency assistance line into the general assistance line to reflect year-to-date demand.
