Staff noted the advisory‑body guidebook recommends annual rotation of chair and vice chair but said the commission may set its own schedule. Commissioners discussed whether to wait for an absent commissioner to confirm the vice‑chair appointment; the commission proceeded with the motion and vote.
A motion to recommend McLeod as chair and Commissioner Mohammed as vice chair was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners Pearson, Pilch, Waddie and McLeod voted in favor and the motion carried. Chair McLeod will serve an additional one‑year term under the commission’s customary practice; the advisory‑body guidebook presentation will be scheduled for a future meeting, staff said.
