Worth County discusses water main, tower activation and a pending water-rates ordinance tied to local development

On the Holiday Inn project, staff said the developer would be expected to connect to the county wastewater system once rates and ordinance language are finalized. "Once these rates are ready, we'll be in place where you give them, like, 18 months to do with to... do with," a county official said, describing the typical timeline developers receive to complete hookups.
Board members asked that staff continue work with counsel on the ordinance and prepare materials for a public hearing when the ordinance language and rate schedule are complete.
