Board announces new executive director of special education; treasurer reports year-to-date financials

Monthly operating expenditures for December were reported at about $27.1 million. Fiscal year-to-date operating expenditures and encumbrances were reported at roughly $151.6 million, representing approximately 44.2% of the total operating budget; staff said current expenditures are slightly ahead of the prior year but remain within budget.
Legislative monitoring: the treasurer and finance staff noted Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe planned a State of the State address on Jan. 28, and district staff are monitoring bills in the 2025 legislative session for potential financial impacts on the district.
