Tivoli trustees approve generator maintenance, financial services agreement and arts grant support

Trustees voted to authorize a maintenance agreement with GenTech LTD to provide annual servicing for the Village Hall generator installed last year. The board described the maintenance contract as a way to protect the village’s investment. A roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval.
The board also authorized a financial services agreement with Fiscal Advisors and Marketing Inc., a firm that assists municipalities with bond sales and competitive bidding among lenders. Officials said the agreement will give the village access to a broader range of lenders and terms when the village needs to borrow. That resolution passed on a roll-call vote recorded as unanimous.
Trustees unanimously approved a letter of support for PS 21, a performing arts center in Chatham, for a New York State Council on the Arts grant to buy portable, professional audio infrastructure for off-site performances. Deputy officials said PS 21 brought a well-attended free circus to the village park in summer and that the organization’s outreach benefits local events.
Routine procedural actions also received approval: the board accepted the minutes of the Dec. 18 regular meeting, accepted the treasurer’s report, and approved payment of bills. The village court reported collections for the month: $1,410 in fines, $100 in surcharges and $0 in civil fees, for a total remitted of $1,510.
The board announced its next meetings: a workshop on Feb. 12 at 6:00 p.m., and the next regular board meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 p.m., preceded by a 6:00 p.m. workshop. The board also noted that the village has issued its first short-term rental permit under the local cap of 15 permitted units and that the winter parking ordinance remains in effect until April 1.
All motions recorded on Jan. 15 were approved; no motions failed or were tabled during the votes recorded on the agenda.
