The McFarland School District Board unanimously approved the district's three-year school safety plan at its Dec. 16 regular meeting, with administrators saying the update formalizes drills, facility assessments and reunification procedures required under state law.
Superintendent (Mr. Mahoney) told the board the plan reflects the minimum statutory requirements of Act 143 (2017) and said the district has used a grant-supported CRG (critical response group) mapping process to provide blueprints and floor plans to local law enforcement. He said the district's response protocol is based on the Standard Response Protocol developed by the I Love You Guys Foundation.
