The Clay County Commission voted 4‑0 to accept the sole response to RFP 109‑25 and authorize United Equipment to provide automated teller machine (ATM) services at the detention center lobby.
Captain Naderian of the sheriff’s office described the procurement and explained that facilities and IT staff confirmed the site could support electrical and internet connectivity required for an ATM. "We bring you tonight the RFP response from United Equipment, and it was the only vendor that responded, but we are perfectly happy to accept that bid and move forward," he said.
The captain told commissioners an on‑site ATM would assist members of the public and people transacting with the sheriff’s office, which accepts cash for fee payments and sometimes must ask people to leave to find an ATM.
The motion to approve RFP 109‑25 was made by Commissioner Johnson and passed unanimously. The commission recorded no objections and directed procurement to finalize contract paperwork with the vendor.
