Phil (staff member) told the committee the recommendation was “to move the evaluations to 2 days, November 17 and December 1.” Committee members discussed the logistics of which groups should appear on which night. After discussion, committee members agreed to place judges on the November date and the remaining appointees and staff evaluations on the December date so any judge‑related requests that require council action could be handled afterward.
Members emphasized streamlining the materials. Phil said staff intends to consolidate evaluation materials into one packet so members do not need to flip among multiple documents during the review. The chair asked staff to circulate the proposed evaluation format and packet to the committee; Phil said he would ensure the materials are emailed to the chair and the committee for review before the scheduled dates.
Committee members noted calendar pressures: one upcoming meeting would be “double‑stacked” because of elections and having two evaluation dates would avoid an overly long single meeting.
No formal roll‑call vote was recorded; the schedule and format were adopted by committee consensus and staff will circulate the evaluation materials and a posted schedule for when each board or commission will report.
