The Louisiana Gaming Control Board received a September 2025 revenue report showing mixed results across riverboats, racetrack slots, video gaming and sportsbooks.
The state reported total receipts of $443,600,000 for the period cited, an increase of $28,600,000 (7%) compared with fiscal year 2024-25. The presenter said that, as of Sept. 30, 2025, the state had collected approximately $95,400,000 in fees for fiscal year 2025-26. The report noted that the overall riverboat revenue decreased $29,000,000 (18%) from August; the presenter attributed part of that month-to-month change to September having four weekends versus five in August.
Caesars New Orleans generated $19,483,745 in gross gaming revenue for September, the report said. That figure was down $6,300,000 (24.5%) from August but up about $3,400,000 (21%) from September of the prior year. During September the state received $5,342,466 in minimum daily payments tied to Caesars.
Adjusted gross receipts for the four racetrack slot facilities combined were reported at 23,633,331 for September, a decrease of $4,500,000 (16%) from the previous month and a decrease of $508,000 (2%) year-over-year. The state collected approximately $3,600,000 in state fees from racetrack slots during September.
Video gaming data showed 12,438 active devices at 1,378 locations. Net device revenue for September was $60,577,697, down $4,800,000 (7.3%) from August but up $3,700,000 (6.5%) from last September. Fiscal year-to-date net device revenue was $190,400,000, an increase of $11,000,000 (6%) compared with the prior fiscal year; franchise fees for September totaled $18,200,000 and fiscal-year-to-date franchise fee collections were reported at $57,400,000.
Sports betting results for September were split between retail and mobile platforms. Retail sportsbooks accepted about $33,800,000 in wagers, producing roughly $3,000,000 in net proceeds and $297,000 in state taxes. Mobile sportsbooks accepted about $367,700,000 in wagers, producing about $44,200,000 in net proceeds and $9,500,000 in taxes paid to the state. For daily fantasy sports, gross revenue in September was reported at approximately $1,700,000, with net revenue of $321,000 and taxes of $25,700.
Board members were invited to ask questions after the presentation; none were recorded. The monthly revenue presentation was informational and did not require board action at the meeting.
The numbers above are those provided in the board packet and during the board presentation; where the presenter gave multiple fiscal-year subtotals, each category’s fiscal-year collections are listed with that category.
