Board approves agenda and consent items, tables new audit-committee policy

At the start of its Oct. 14 meeting the board approved the agenda as presented and later approved a four-item consent slate unanimously. The consent slate included a budget amendment and transfer number 4, a facility name change (Dayton Thompson Stadium to Homer Thompson Stadium), the general personnel report, and approval of the Sept. 9 meeting minutes.
Later in the meeting the board considered a proposed new policy (34‑35) establishing an audit committee. Trustees moved and seconded a substitute motion to table the item so it could be discussed in greater detail at the next policy committee meeting; the motion to table passed unanimously.
