Board continues Tesla Energy Operations assessment study to March 17, 2025

The assessor told the board the county had received the California Assessors Association study and that staff and VersaTax Consulting (on Zoom) had reached agreement in principle; the parties said they were finishing clerical language for stipulations and asked for an extension.
Assessor Joe Phillips said a clerical issue related to the county’s new property tax system was delaying final written stipulations. Ryan McClure of VersaTax Consulting confirmed the parties were "on the same page" and that March 17, 2025 worked for the parties. Board members approved a motion to continue the items to March 17, 2025 without additional data proviso.
The continuance is procedural: the board expects either stipulations to be filed and approved or a formal hearing if stipulations are not finalized. The clerk said the board will accept submitted stipulations and that timely filing could waive in‑person attendance at the eventual hearing.
