Del City approves planning commission reappointments, accepts historical donation and buys gravel for public works

Del City’s City Council on Feb. 21, 2025, unanimously approved multiple appointments to the city’s Planning Commission, accepted a donation of historical items from the Del City Historical Society for preservation, adopted a fiscal-year budget amendment and approved a public-works purchase of gravel and geotextile mats.

The actions were taken during the regular meeting of the Del City City Council and were approved by roll call votes with Councilman Dean, Councilwoman Brown and Councilman Tatum voting “aye” and Mayor Eason casting the deciding vote where recorded.

The reappointments fill the Planning Commission through Sept. 1, 2027. The council approved Mayor Eason’s nominations for the following seats: Joe Satterwhite (Ward 1), Joshua Schultz (Ward 2), Michelle Caruso (Ward 2), Sam Turck (Ward 4) and Jackie Mooney (Ward 3). Mooney was sworn in at the meeting. Each nomination passed on unanimous votes.
