The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a supplemental budget on Jan. 9, 2025 to record loan proceeds and accommodate the purchase of the OMI campus.
County staff said the supplemental budget for Fund 440 was necessary to recognize the loan funds coming into the budget and then outgoing payments to acquire the building. A staff member told the board that the acquisition is complete, stating on the record that "the county does now own OMI." Commissioner Starett moved approval and the board voted to adopt the supplemental budget.
The supplemental budget will allow the county to account for the loan proceeds and the purchase in Fund 440. No public speakers opposed the measure during the hearing; no amendments were recorded on the record.
Staff will proceed with budget entries and accounting for the acquisition as directed by the supplemental appropriation.
