According to the board, six district schools are conducting book studies and workshops related to device use and student social‑emotional health; the district said extra copies of the book have been made available for interested staff and parents.
Board members described the task force as an exploratory body that will review research, school practices and community input before proposing policy changes. No formal policy changes were adopted at the meeting.
On next steps, the board asked staff to continue community outreach for the superintendent search and to report back on the task force’s findings and any recommendations before any policy decisions are made.
