A county planner, Tiffany, briefed the Taneytown Planning Commission on county planning matters: Taneytown had no fall water/sewer master plan amendments this cycle; the county’s fall amendments will go to public hearing on the 30th and the spring amendment cycle closes on Feb. 1.

Tiffany said the county housing study has been posted — including an abbreviated presentation given to County Commissioners on Dec. 19 — and that the full study and presentation materials will be available on the housing‑study website and the carol2035.org site. She said master‑plan open houses begin Feb. 6 and that local events will include an opportunity for the planning commission to set up information and speak with residents at the Taneytown Library event on Feb. 19.

Tiffany thanked the commission for submitting its annual report and invited commissioners and staff to participate in county open houses and to share materials about local planning with county staff.
