The council voted to schedule the rezoning hearing for Feb. 4 at noon on a motion to rezone parcel 1208‑376‑013 from RC (conservation) to R2 (apartment) and parcel 1208‑376‑012 from B2 (general business) to R2. Administration and the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the council proceed to a public hearing; the rezoning request would allow the mobile‑home park owner to expand into the two parcels.
