Ms. Davis, an applicant and a retired landscape architect, told council members she grew up near the University of Kentucky campus, earned a landscape architecture degree from the University of Kentucky in 1987 and served as director of the UK/LFUCG Arboretum until 2014. “I am a native of Lexington,” she said, and added that she is committed to how the city is developed and preserved.
