The Delaware County SIGRA Authority voted to amend Article 6.01 of its bylaws to create a chair pro tem position and then held nominations and elected Ron Evans as chair pro tem.
Solicitor Frank Bailey told members the amendment required 15 days’ notice or written waivers; he reported that he had received waivers from all five authority members. The amendment language would add a mechanism to designate a presiding officer when the regular presiding officer is absent.
Members discussed the purpose of the change, citing scheduled absences and the need for an automatic presiding officer when there is still a quorum. After the amendment motion passed on a voice vote, members accepted nominations. Francis Sheehan nominated herself earlier but declined the nomination; members then nominated and voted to elect Ron Evans. The election passed on a voice vote.
