The director also said staff plans a series of workshops to brief commissioners on proposed development code amendments before bringing formal code changes to the commission. The goal is to present draft changes by subject matter so commissioners can provide preliminary feedback prior to formal review.
Commissioners asked when the parks and RV‑park code item will return; staff estimated that item would come back in "probably another couple of months." The director reminded commissioners that state law now requires at least 20 days’ public advertisement for development‑code or general‑plan amendments, which has extended timelines for pending amendments.
