Planning staff told the commission the applicant filed a timely request after the project — originally approved in 2022 — would otherwise have expired at the end of 2024. Staff recommended the extension with modifications to some conditions of approval to reflect recent changes to how traffic impact fees are calculated.
Commissioners voted 4-0 to approve the extension with the modified conditions. Commissioner Garcia was recorded as having an excused absence at the meeting.
Staff said the project is zoned for the proposed use and that the draft conditions eliminate duplicate language and update engineering-required language related to traffic impact fees. The applicant was not present at the hearing; staff said the absence would not change the recommendation but that the commission could continue the item if necessary.
The commission’s action preserves the previously approved plans and allows the applicant additional time to complete the project under the documented conditions of approval. No appeals or additional formal actions were taken during the meeting on this item.
