Commission accepts public infrastructure for Country Acres Addition Phase 1

Finney County commissioners approved acceptance of the public infrastructure for Country Acres Addition Phase 1 on Dec. 16, following inspections by engineering and public-works staff that found the improvements substantially complete.
Mackenzie Phillips, development and administrative coordinator, told commissioners a few cleanup items remain — seeding of a south ditch and removal of excess riprap and dirt from the detention pond repairs — but staff determined the work is substantially complete. Under the county—s process, the developer will be responsible for maintenance of the improvements for one year following acceptance.
The commission voted to accept the infrastructure; the motion carried by voice vote and staff said the developer must complete the cleanup measures during the one-year warranty period.
