The Finney County Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 18-2024 on Dec. 16, adopting a revised fee schedule for the Finney County Health Department clinic intended to better align charges with current material and contractual costs while minimizing financial impact on patients.
Shruti Chhabra, director for the county health department, said staff conducted a comprehensive review, benchmarked fees with comparable jurisdictions and solicited input from staff and community representatives. She said the proposal includes increased fees where material and processing costs have risen, reductions for some services that have become less expensive, and a provision allowing the department to add new services (for example new tests or vaccines) under the schedule.
"Staff recommend alternative 3," Chhabra said, indicating the option to adopt the revised, flexible schedule. Commissioners moved and seconded adoption of the resolution; the motion carried on a voice vote. The county clerk will sign and publish the new fee schedule.
