Assembly hears proposal to standardize use of Pictometry aerial imagery

Mister Hedges presented the item on behalf of the mayor’s office, saying the borough first contracted with the vendor in 2021 using COVID-era funds to collect imagery that is compatible with assessing software. He said the imagery reduces field risk and costs and has proven useful beyond its original purpose.
Hedges told the assembly the administration is seeking a five-year renewal and that the contract has been simplified and reduced from the original 2021 agreement. When asked about costs, Hedges initially offered approximate numbers; an aide (identified in the meeting as “Bobby”) supplied a more specific annual figure. The transcript records the clarified annual cost as “a hundred and 66716 dollars and 80 cents a year for the next 5 years.” The borough representative characterized that as the administration’s current per-year estimate for the renewal.
No vote or final authorization was recorded during the committee discussion. The matter was presented for consideration and will return to the assembly for any required approvals or contract action.
